Andrew is director of the Centre for Management Buy-out Research (CMBOR), the leading provider of analysis and information on the UK and European buy-out markets.
Prior to joining CMBOR in 1999, Andrew worked in the high-performance composites industry, spending many years as technical and commercial director in several SMEs, including involvement in a management buy-in as a member of the incoming management team.
Andrew is a chartered engineer with an engineering degree from Oxford University and an MBA from Nottingham University Business School. |

David Brooks, Partner, Grant Thornton |

David has been a partner in Grant Thornton since 1973 and a corporate finance specialist since 1990. He is head of the national mergers and acquisitions business, having previously been head of lead advisory. David's primary focus is on sell side mandates acting for corporates, private company vendors and private equity houses.
David has advised in a lead advisory role on a wide range of transactions involving both public and private companies, including extensive work in both the manufacturing and service sectors. He has advised on acquisitions and disposals, finance raising and corporate strategy. Many of the transactions have involved international entities.
He is a specialist in the healthcare, food, property and construction, hotels and leisure, and support services sectors.

Jack Clipsham, Partner, BDO Stoy Hayward |

Jack is responsible for BDO Stoy Hayward’s corporate finance services, inbound and outbound, in relation to East and South-East Asia. These include cross-border M&A, private equity fundraising, company flotations and financial due diligence.
He has acted for Full List, AIM, PLUS Markets and privately owned companies in respect of flotations, fundraisings, management buy-outs/buy-ins, pre-acquisition and pre-investment due diligence reviews and acquisitions and disposals. He has also acted for a number of venture capitalists and banks in respect of pre-investment/pre-lend reviews.
Having acted as reporting accountant on the first AIM float of a Chinese business in September 2004, he has now completed a further ten IPOs of Chinese businesses and both pre-investment and pre-acquisition reviews of Chinese targets. He is currently involved with projects in Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, China and Hong Kong.
Prior to joining BDO Stoy Hayward, Jack obtained a BA (Hons) in business management, trained with Ernst & Young and worked at the investment bank Guinness Mahon before returning to the profession as a corporate finance specialist. He joined the firm in August 1999 as a partner. He is a chartered accountant and a member of the PLUS Primary Advisory Group. |

Peter Cullum is executive chairman and majority shareholder of a stable of companies that comprise Towergate Partnership (Europe’s largest privately owned insurance broking and underwriting company), Paymentshield (the UK’s largest provider of general insurance to the mortgage broker market), Open GI (the UK’s largest provider of IT software to the general insurance broking sector) and The Broker Network (the UK’s largest provider of services to the general insurance broker), and earlier this year launched Towergate Financial Services on the back of new capital exceeding £100 million.
The combined premium turnover of the group exceeds £2.5 billion, generating EBITDA of £195 million.
Peter was named Entrepreneur of the Year in 2005 by Ernst & Young and is currently the M&A Deal Maker of the Year, and was named 2008 Entrepreneur of the year by Management Today.
Peter recently created the Peter Cullum Chair for Entrepreneurship at Cass Business School and has provided £10 million to fund budding entrepreneurs.
Peter’s other interests include The Cullum Family Trust, a registered charity to which he has donated more than £20 million over the past two years and which focuses on numerous charities supporting deprived children and local charities in Sussex. He remains a keen Norwich City Football fan.

Magnus has worked for IP Group since 2004, following the company’s acquisition of Top Technology Ventures.
He joined Top Technology Ventures, IP Group’s venture capital fund management subsidiary, in 2000 after four and a half years with Slaughter and May at which he practised a wide range of corporate and finance law. Magnus has a first-class degree in law from Oriel College, Oxford.

Patrique Habboo has over a decade of experience in the specialist field of interim management. He is managing director of Boyden Interim UK and global practice head for interim management across the Boyden network.
After eight years as managing director of Praxis Interim Management, he founded and successfully grew Execbank, a strategically oriented firm focused on delivering the highest quality service to clients and candidates, later sold to Boyden in 2008.
Patrique has successfully completed numerous senior interim placements in both the public and private sectors.
A recognised industry expert, he has been a guest speaker at numerous seminars and conferences on interim management at venues ranging from the London Business School to the RAC Club and Grosvenor House Hotel.
He is also the author of the Annual Interim Management Survey.

Wol Kolade joined ISIS Equity Partners in January 1993. He has overall responsibility for strategic development and active involvement in investments. After obtaining an MBA from Exeter University, he spent three years with Barclays in various head office roles before joining ISIS. Wol is also a council member and past chairman of the British Private Equity and Venture Capital Association. He is a non-executive director of the Social Finance Board
and also a governor and council member of the London School of Economics, chairing its audit committee. |

Richard is a director of NBGI Private Equity, a business that he has helped to develop into a leading lower mid-market buy-out house from its establishment in 2000. NBGI had an outstanding track record of performance with its first UK fund and is now investing its second UK fund as well as other European funds, with over €800 million under management.
Richard's previous career included six years as a corporate finance partner with PwC and three years as finance director of a building products manufacturer.

Tom Price has advised companies in the UK small- and mid-cap equity capital markets since 1990. He has been at Evolution since July 2002 when it acquired Beeson Gregory.
He has been involved in a wide range of transactions for companies on all sectors of the London Stock Exchange including IPOs, secondary fundraisings, public bids, acquisitions and disposals. These have included companies from the UK, the US, China and India.
He has experience across a variety of sectors, with an emphasis on media and leisure companies, and regularly speaks at industry conferences and seminars. Tom has an MA from Cambridge, England, and is a member of the Securities Institute; he is also an arts adviser to the Columbia Foundation of San Francisco.

She was also editor of the US news-stand magazine Latino Leaders – a who’s who of high-profile US Hispanics. At Vitesse Media, Patrizia manages M&A Magazine and accompanying online products. |

Chilton Taylor, Partner, Baker Tilly |

Chilton is a corporate finance partner and head of capital markets at Baker Tilly. He is a graduate of Cambridge University and qualified at KPMG in 1977. He has over 25 years of corporate finance experience specialising in flotations, due diligence and fundraising, and has acted on over 100 flotations.
He is a specialist on AIM IPOs and represents one of two practising accountants invited to the AIM Advisory Group of the London Stock Exchange. Although a corporate finance partner, he is an acknowledged specialist in VCT and EIS legislation and is the author of ‘A Guide to AIM Tax Benefits’, a joint publication of Baker Tilly and the London Stock Exchange.

Sara founded Vitesse Media Plc in 1997 and is its chairman and chief executive. Her role includes developing the acquisition strategy, as well as leading the 50-strong team based in London. She is also editor in chief of the company's publications. Sara is a well-known business author. Over two million copies of her book, FT Guide to Small Business (formerly the Lloyds TSB Small Business Guide) have been published. She is a member of the London Stock Exchange's AIM Advisory Group, holds an investment advice certificate and an MSc in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics. |
